Introduction
Advanced Safety for Ammonia Refrigeration
ADRS is a detection and recovery system developed to significantly enhance the safety of ammonia refrigeration facilities.
When the newly developed low-temperature ammonia detector installed inside the cold room senses even a minor leak of several dozen ppm, it immediately shuts off the liquid supply solenoid valve and automatically switches the refrigeration unit to refrigerant recovery mode. This rapid response prevents gas diffusion inside the room and maintains a safe operating environment.

How ADRS Works
• Leak signal is transmitted via an external transmitter to the alarm control unit
• Simultaneous alarm activation and signal transmission to the refrigeration control panel
• System prepares for automatic recovery operation
• Liquid supply solenoid valve closes
• Ammonia gas in the evaporator and piping is safely recovered under controlled pressure
• System automatically stops after recovery is complete
• Operation resumes only after inspection and repair
By automating detection, shutoff, and refrigerant recovery, ADRS minimizes human error while protecting both personnel and stored products.
